The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) has outlined a comprehensive list of administrative violations concerning the Emirates ID card, residency services, and issues related to foreigners.
As reported by Gulf News, the ICP stipulates penalties ranging from Dh20 to Dh20,000, contingent on the severity of the violation.
A notable violation, as detailed by an ICP spokesperson, incurs a Dh20,000 fine for issuing visas or entry permits to entities without operational activities.
The ICP has delineated these infractions into 14 distinct categories, with specific penalties attached:
- Three violations carry a Dh5,000 fine each, including interference with the duties of ICP workers, non-cooperation with them, and the failure of clients to compensate for services rendered by the ICP.
- Six categories of violations are subject to a Dh500 fine. These include providing ICP passport officers with information from unauthorized organization representatives, misusing e-dirham for unrelated company transactions, expired representative cards, failing to display the representative’s card during transactions, breaching service centre work protocols, and not fulfilling commitments made to the ICP.
- Additional fines include a Dh3,000 penalty for submitting false information and a Dh100 fine for incorrectly printed applications. Moreover, individuals who neglect to renew their Emirates ID card within 30 days post-expiration face a daily fine of Dh20, accumulating up to a maximum of Dh1,000.
