The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match schedule for the highly anticipated ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, revealing that Pakistan and India will clash on October 15 at Ahmedabad.

Pakistan will commence their World Cup journey with matches against qualifiers on October 6 and 12. The event will begin with a highly anticipated rematch of the 2019 50-over World Cup final, where England will compete against New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
A total of 10 teams will participate in the marquee event, with the first eight teams qualifying through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The final two teams will secure their spots through the Qualifier tournament, currently taking place in Zimbabwe, set to conclude on July 9.
Exciting Fixtures and Rivalries
The tournament promises several high-profile clashes. Following the match against India, Pakistan will play Australia in Bengaluru on October 20. In another key game, England will go head-to-head with South Africa on the same day in Mumbai.
India’s October 22 match against New Zealand at the picturesque Dharamsala venue will be a rematch of their 2019 semi-final. On November 4, Australia will face their long-time rivals, England, in Ahmedabad. The group stage will conclude with the Pakistan-England match on November 12.
Knockout Stages and Venues
The semi-finals will occur on November 15 and 16 in Mumbai and Kolkata, respectively, with reserve days for both matches. The final match will occur at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19, with a reserve day scheduled for November 20. All knockout matches will be day-night affairs, starting at 14:00 local time.
The tournament will span ten venues: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Warm-up matches will be hosted in Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad from September 29 to October 3.
