On June 12, a donkey suffered mutilation of its leg and private areas allegedly at the hands of its owner near Cattle Colony in Seri police jurisdiction.
Two days later, Seri police apprehended the owner, Mir Hassan Rind, following a tip-off.
Rind faces charges under Section 429 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), instigated by a complaint from Sub Inspector Arsalan Lateef Channa.
Subsequently, on Saturday, authorities remanded Rind to judicial custody. Reports indicate Rind, a donkey cart operator, committed the act with an axe during a moment of anger.
