Josh Miramant certainly knows what he is talking about when he decided to jump off a cliff in Ton Sai, Thailand with the grappling hooks pierced into his back.
The 28 year old gave new meaning to being hooked in May this year and according to the stats presented by the Telegraph, he is believe to be only the 11th individual to attempt this daring and painful feat.
“I am not a masochist. I just came to enjoy the whole experience despite the pain, but I was certainly happy when the piercing was complete.”
In order to carry out this excruciating suspension jump, Miramant had four bolts bored into his upper back and fastened shut. According to OutsideOnline.com the hooks for parachute itself were attached to the bolts in his back and soon after the jump these hooks were removed.
The aftermath consisted of bleeding incisions on his body.
But Miramant is not done yet as he is already planning for a similar jump but this time from a hot air balloon somewhere in the next 6 months.
