Men’s and Women’s Field Hockey World Cup will kick off in Netherland’s capital city The Hague tomorrow.
This will be the second time that the Men’s and Women’s Hockey World Cup will be held at the same time since the 1998 tournament in Utrecht city of Netherlands.
In the men’s tournament, Australia will be vying to retain their World Cup crown whereas runners-up of the 2010 will be looking to win the championship this time around. The hosts will be looking to win the title on home soil.
The women’s team of Argentina will be looking to retain the crown and win the title for the third time while the Dutch will be playing to become champions on home soil.
It is pertinent to note that four time Men’s champions Pakistan has not qualified for the tournament.
