Kashif alia David, an infamous target killer and hitman reportedly associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has confessed to killing more than 30 people including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Zaheer Akram Nadeem and a leader of Bihari Qaumi Movement.
Sindh Rangers spokesman, in a statement issued here, said, “Kashif aka David has confessed to killing more than 30 people.”
The spokesman said, the accused was part of Ajmal Pahari group since 1995.
Later, Kashif, on the directives of MQM Rabitta Committee and Tanzeemi committee, was running a team of assassins since 2005.
Further investigation was underway, the paramilitary spokesman said.
Rangers have taken 90-day custody of Kashif from the court.
The Sindh Rangers late Monday night have arrested a target killer associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Speaking to media, Colonel Faisal, a senior official of the paramilitary force, said Kashif alias David was taken into custody during a “targeted search operation” carried out near Nine-Zero, the MQM’s headquarters.
“Kashif alias David was a most wanted target killer affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement,” he said.
He said acting on a lead provided by the suspect the Rangers conducted a raid in the same area, seizing a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
