The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed that Gwadar, Balochistan, will host the player draft for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL-10) on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
“The selection of Gwadar aims to popularize cricket in this region and inspire future generations to pursue the sport professionally,” stated PCB in a press release.
Mohsin Naqvi highlighted Gwadar’s beautiful coastline and strategic significance as pivotal to Pakistan’s economic future. “Hosting the PSL player draft in Gwadar showcases its cultural and economic importance and celebrates the unity that cricket fosters across our nation,” he added.

“I am eager to welcome all franchises and stakeholders to Gwadar on January 11 as we inaugurate the 10th edition of Pakistan’s premier sporting event,” he continued.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer expressed enthusiasm about Gwadar hosting the event. “Announcing Gwadar as the host city reflects our commitment to broaden the PSL’s footprint across Pakistan and highlight the nation’s beauty globally,” he said.
“For many fans in Pakistan, PSL is not just a cricket league; it’s a celebration of our passion, diversity, and talent. Holding the Player Draft in Gwadar aims to motivate young cricketers from Balochistan and other parts of the country to dream big,” he remarked.
