During a protest in Gwadar organized by a Baloch organization, violent demonstrators attacked on-duty security forces, resulting in one soldier’s death and 16 injuries.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a press release, reported that under the guise of the so-called Baloch Raji Mochi movement, the protesters launched an assault on security personnel.
According to ISPR, 30-year-old soldier Shabbir Baloch was martyred in the attack, and an officer among the 16 security forces members sustained injuries.
The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army stated that despite provocations, the security forces exhibited extreme restraint and patience to avoid civilian casualties, emphasizing that the violent actions of the mob were unacceptable.
ISPR declared that those responsible for the violence would be brought to justice, urging citizens not to fall prey to propaganda. The public must remain peaceful and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to maintain order.
