A senior government official said today that Islamabad intends to seek details and bring back billions of dollars deposited by high-net-worth Pakistani individuals in Swiss banks.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Munazzah Hasan raised a question on the floor of the National Assembly asking what the government is doing to bring back money from Swiss banks.

Responding to the query, Parliamentary Secretary for Finance Rana Afzal readout a written reply of the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in which he said that Swiss banks have around $7 trillion from high-net-worth individuals from world over and of that amount an estimated $200 billion belong to Pakistanis.
