Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that the Government has deployed the military in Islamabad out of fear of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march on 14th August.

Speaking in the National Assembly earlier today,  Khursheed Shah asked that, “Why the lower house of the Parliament was not taken into confidence when government decided to impose the Article 245 of the constitution in the federal capital.”

He warned the government that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will support PTI’s long march on 14th August if military is not withdrawn from Islamabad.

“Article 245 is a threat to democracy.”, Khursheed said.
