The federal government considering all options including imposition of governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Zafar Iqbal Jhagra has returned to Peshawar after spending a busy day in Islamabad.
During Islamabad visit the governor held consultations with senior figures of the ruling party to cope with prevailing crisis. The sources said the government might impose governor rule under article 234 of the Constitution as a last resort to prevent the PTI from closing down the capital.
The police were targeting the PTI workers trying to remove the shipping containers to proceed to Islamabad. The protesters pelted the officers with stones and were providing water to their companions affected by heavy tear gas shelling.
