Amidst growing public outrage Google has removed the ‘Bomb Gaza’ game from its Play Store.  People were reportedly incensed with Google’s utterly crass and insensitive handling of the Gaza tragedy in which almost 2000 Palestinians have been killed.  Social media was abuzz with tweets and updates over a game that violates Google’s stated policy  involving “depictions of gratuitous violence” and “content advocating against groups of people based on their race or ethnic origin, religion.

The game involves an Israeli war plane that is supposed to bomb terrorists, however it is impossible to kill terrorists without ‘taking’ out civilians in the same buildings.
