Google is gearing up to introduce the Pixel 9a, the latest addition to its smartphone lineup, set to become the earliest release in the Pixel A series’ history with a launch date of March 19.
Following its tradition, Google plans to enhance the buying experience by offering special promotions with the new Pixel 9a, similar to what was available with the Pixel 9 series.
According to Android Headlines, Pixel 9a purchasers are in for several enticing incentives. Google is expected to offer free six months of Fitbit Premium, alongside three months of complimentary YouTube Premium and Google One, which provides 100GB of storage. However, unlike the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9a package will not include the 2TB+ AI plan for Google One, and users will need to purchase any Gemini Advanced features separately.
Pre-orders for the Pixel 9a are anticipated to open on the same day as the launch, March 19, with shipping slated to begin a week later on March 26.
Expected Specifications of Google Pixel 9a
The Pixel 9a is rumoured to retain key hardware features from the higher-end Pixel 9, including the Tensor G4 processor. It will likely boast a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and protection from Gorilla Glass 3. Additionally, it should come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and sport an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
