Google is rolling out a new feature for its Gemini AI called Circle Screen. This tool streamlines searching for information directly from your smartphone display, eliminating several steps from the current process
The new feature replaces the existing “Circle to Search” function. Previously, users had to capture a screenshot, select an area, and then initiate a search. Circle Screen removes this friction. Users can draw a circle around any on-screen content they wish to explore, and Gemini instantly processes the search without requiring a screenshot.

The activation method has also been simplified. Instead of holding down a home button, users can now swipe in from the corner of their phone’s screen to activate the Gemini overlay and use the Circle Screen tool.
This gesture-based control makes the feature more intuitive and faster to access for frequent searches. Circle Screen is not yet widely available. Google is currently testing the feature, with some Samsung device owners potentially having early access.

This update is part of a broader integration that brings Google Lens capabilities directly into the Gemini interface. The goal is to create a seamless, tap-free search experience that saves users time. As this is a phased rollout, the feature will gradually become available to more users through future software updates.
