Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, was reportedly killed in a shooting in the United States.

Indian News18 confirmed the incident occurred around 5:25 PM local time on Tuesday at Fairmont and Holt Avenue.

Reports indicate that unidentified gunmen ambushed Brar and an associate outside his residence in the U.S. The assailants fired shots and fled the scene. Both victims were rushed to a hospital, where Brar succumbed to his injuries.

Arsh Dalla and Lakbhir, known adversaries of Brar, have claimed responsibility for the attack, pointing to a longstanding feud.

Goldy Brar, whose real name was Satinderjeet Brar, was infamous in criminal circles for violent and drug-related activities. He had openly confessed on social media to arranging the assassination of Sidhu Moosewala, displaying his boldness and disregard for consequences.

Here are essential details of Brar’s criminal background:

  • In 2017, Brar moved from India to Canada on a student visa.
  • He recently orchestrated the murder of a Dera Sacha Sauda follower, allegedly collaborating with Sikh extremist groups.
  • While Indian authorities captured the gunmen and accomplices in Moosewala’s murder, Brar evaded arrest and fled abroad, prompting international law enforcement efforts to apprehend him.

About Sidhu Moosewala:

Sidhu Moosewala (1993-2022) was a renowned Indian singer, rapper, and songwriter born Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu from Punjab. His lyrics, often addressing social and political themes, stirred admiration and controversy.

Moosewala was tragically gunned down on May 29, 2022, in a deliberate attack in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, Punjab, at the age of 28.

Initially, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for Moosewala’s murder. Later, Brar admitted to the crime on television, citing Moosewala’s supposed role in the murder of Bishnoi’s associate, Vicky Midukhera, as his motive.
