Gold prices have escalated in international and local markets, continuing a two-day upward trend.
Globally, gold’s price per ounce has increased by $9, reaching $2,364.
Locally, the price for 24-carat gold per tola (11.66 grams) climbed to Rs. 244,400, up by Rs. 1,100. For 10 grams, the price rose by Rs. 944 to Rs. 209,534.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged nationally, at Rs. 2,850 per tola and Rs. 2,443.41 for 10 grams.
Analysts note that the rise in local gold prices reflects subdued buying, setting the market price at Rs. 3,000 per tola under current conditions.
