A US couple’s wedding has gone viral for their unconventional choice of serving McDonald’s burgers, fries, and nuggets, showcasing a unique twist on traditional wedding fare.

The quirky decision captured the attention of millions, with a video of the event amassing over 30 million views on Instagram. The clip features the bride, dressed in white and sporting blue shades, biting into a McDonald’s burger. The table display included various McDonald’s favourites, from Happy Meals to various dips, all under a sign that cleverly incorporated the McDonald’s logo into the newlyweds’ celebration.

While most weddings opt for elegance with gourmet meals and elaborate decorations, this couple chose to delight guests with a fun, laid-back menu straight from their childhood dreams. Another scene from the video shows the couple enjoying their meal together, adding a personal touch to the celebration.

Viewer reactions to the McDonald’s-themed wedding menu varied widely. Comments ranged from amused remarks like “Getting McMarried is crazy” to critical reflections on social perceptions related to economic status, such as “Cool if you’re rich, ghetto if you’re poor.”

Some viewers expressed scepticism about the quality of fast food at a wedding. One user commented, “McDonald’s that isn’t eaten within ten minutes of being cooked is appalling,” while another added, “I love McDonald’s too, but it seems so weird for a wedding.”

What are your thoughts on including fast food like McDonald’s in a wedding celebration? Share your views in the comments section.
