Germany’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan Michael Koch has stated that Kabul should extend support to Islamabad in its efforts to eliminate terrorism.
Talking to a six-member delegation of the Senate, headed by Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Haji Mohammad Adeel, in Berlin yesterday Mr Koch said his country supported the military operation in North Waziristan.
“Pakistan and Afghanistan are intertwined, and peace in the region hinges on their close cooperation and mutual support rather than distrust in tackling the menace of terrorism. Both countries will be successful if they go together,” he said.
