Gentry Beach, a Texas hedge fund manager closely associated with the Trump family, raised concerns about possible misinformation influencing Richard Grenell, a key aide of President Donald Trump.
During his visit to Islamabad with a U.S. business delegation, Beach suggested that some groups in the U.S. may have misled Grenell about his support for Imran Khan’s campaign.
According to Beach, Grenell, known for his active role in the Trump administration, had previously tweeted in support of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party but has since ceased such endorsements and deleted most related tweets. Beach praised Grenell’s effectiveness and integrity, emphasizing his deep understanding of complex international issues, which likely influenced his decision to retract public support.

“Richard Grenell is one of the finest Americans I have met. He is incredibly effective and genuinely humble,” said Beach in an interview in Islamabad. He hinted at a U.S. lobby spending significant sums monthly on matters related to Imran Khan, which might have initially swayed Grenell.
Beach is leading a high-profile investment delegation to strengthen economic and bilateral ties between the U.S. and Pakistan. This visit, the first since the recent transition of the U.S. administration, highlights renewed American interest in Pakistan, focusing on the energy, technology, and infrastructure sectors.
During the delegation’s two-day visit, Beach underscored the potential for future U.S.-Pakistan trade relationships under the Trump administration. He commended Pakistan for its counter-terrorism efforts and stressed the need for equal partnership between the two nations to foster economic and strategic growth.
“America and Pakistan should work as equal partners, driving mutual progress and strengthening their bonds,” Beach concluded, advocating for a deeper U.S. cooperation with Pakistan.
