Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has pledged to utilise all resources for a secure and terror-free Karachi.
In a series of tweets, DG ISPR Asim Bajwa said that the army chief was briefed at Corps Headquarters in Karachi about ongoing operations including intelligence-based operations.
The army chief chaired a special security review meeting, which was attended Corps Commander, Karachi and Director Generals of ISI, MI and Rangers.
The COAS appreciated Rangers and other law enforcement agencies for successes in improving security environment.
According to Bajwa, General Sharif specially commended intelligence agencies for achieving major breakthrough in unearthing various terrorist networks in a bid to dismantle terror infrastructure and sever their linkages with terrorist cells/bases outside Karachi.
