The City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) yesterday approved its annual budget worth Rs10.036 billion for the financial year 2014-15 with Rs275 million allocated for Rawalpindi development projects.
The budget was approved by District Development Committee led by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sajid Zafar Dall at a meeting attended by the executive district officers (EDOs) finance and planning and works and services.
More than 90 per cent of the funds will be utilised for the salaries of the 30,822 employees of the CDGR. A major chunk of the budget will go to salaries account of the education department and 28 per cent will be received by other departments.
