Gallup Pakistan recently released the findings of a comprehensive survey designed to gauge public awareness of the current Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif. Conducted between June 28 and July 10, 2024, the survey polled 700 citizens across various demographics.

The results showcased that 65% of respondents accurately identified Shahbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister, demonstrating a significant level of public awareness. However, 20% of those surveyed provided incorrect answers, and 14% could not name the Prime Minister, highlighting a gap in recognition among the population.

6 in 10 Pakistani adults fail to correctly recall the name of the current President of Pakistan; with significant gender and rural-urban differences existing:

Data analysis revealed a gender disparity in recognition: 71% of male participants correctly identified the Prime Minister, compared to 61% of female participants.

The survey also indicated geographical differences in awareness; 72% of urban residents knew the Prime Minister’s name, as opposed to 63% of those from rural areas, suggesting higher political engagement or access to information in urban settings.
