After losing to Argentina on penalties, France’s President Emmanuel Macron walks to Kylian Mbappé to console and Cheer up.
While talking to reports, Emmanuel Macron praised Argentina on Sunday’s triumph and said, “We’re unhappy and dissatisfied.”
He consoled Kylian Mbappe and other France players in the locker room, saying, “They made us all proud and excited.”
He lauded Mbappe’s “amazing” performance and noted that he’s played in two World Cup finals at age 24.
Macron said the French players will return home on Monday and parade down the Champs-Elysees. Macron will spend Christmas with French troops overseas.
