Quetta :At least four policemen were killed when a police mobile was attacked by unidentified gunmen here on Saturday morning.
According to police sources, two unidentified motorcyclists opened fired on a police mobile when it reached Satellite Town Police Station area. The officials of Balochistan Constabulary were on routine patrol when the miscreants attacked their vehicle.
All the policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), sustained injuries. They were shifted to Quetta’s Civil Hospital, but were pronounced dead upon arrival.
A search for miscreants has been mounted and investigation into the incident was underway until the filing of this report. The martyred policemen were identified as ASI Ali Muhammad, driver Abdullah, Police Constable (PC) Ataullah and PC Abdullah.
