A remote-controlled bomb explosion in Bajur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killed at least three people, including former senator Hidayat Ullah, on Wednesday.
The attack targeted Hidayat’s vehicle in Damadola village, according to Deputy Superintendent Police Bakht Munir.
Hidayat, an independent senator from the erstwhile Federally Administered Tribal Areas, was engaged in election activities in Tehsil Mamond for an upcoming by-poll when the incident occurred. Police have confirmed the use of a remote-controlled bomb in the attack, resulting in multiple casualties.
