Dense patches of fog blanketed Islamabad, Rawalpindi and surrounding areas earlier today, affecting traffic and flight operations in the twin cities.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), dense foggy conditions would continue in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.
PMD said the foggy conditions may affect flight operation at Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, Faisalabad airports and flow of traffic on Motorway M2 (Lahore to Pindi Bhattian sector) during the next couple of days.
Very cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, the PMD said.
