Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the OIC should lead diplomatic efforts to resolve Jammu and Kashmir in compliance with UNSC resolutions.
After a bilateral discussion with OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha, he said Pakistan respects OIC’s contribution to protecting the Muslim world’s social, economic, and political interests.
The foreign minister said India’s human rights breaches and criminal conduct in 2019 violate international law and undermine efforts for peace and stability in the region.

On Afghanistan, the Foreign Minister said we stressed the need to follow up on resolutions made at CFM’s 17th special session in Islamabad last December.
The OIC membership has committed enough starting resources to strengthen the OIC office in Afghanistan and operate a special envoy, he said to Radio Pakistan.
The Foreign Minister noted that the newly opened OIC office in Kabul will help channel OIC support to Afghanistan and improve its humanitarian situation.
As ordered by recent CFM sessions, Pakistan stands with Palestinians, and the OIC should establish an action plan to elevate the matter internationally.
Bilawal Bhutto declared that Pakistan will host the OIC trade fair in Lahore next June.
