Fitness influencer Miguel Angel Aguilar, 43, died three months following his shooting during a robbery in Los Angeles on September 13. Four suspects attacked Miguel Angel Aguilar in Bel-Air, demanding his property before one assailant shot him multiple times.
His fitness brand, Self Made Training Facility, announced Aguilar’s death on December 21 through an Instagram post.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our founder and CEO, Miguel Angel Aguilar, after a courageous three-month battle. Miguel departed this world peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends, on December 21, 2024,” the post stated.
Miguel was a pioneering leader and a visionary who greatly influenced the personal training industry. He was a mentor, father, husband, and friend whose commitment and enthusiasm for fitness have left an indelible mark on those around him. “Miguel Angel revolutionized personal training, inspiring many to achieve their business and fitness aspirations,” the statement added.

The Self-Made Training Facility has vowed to continue his legacy. “While we mourn Miguel’s loss, we also celebrate his remarkable life and the impact he made. His spirit endures through the Self-Made Training Facility. The Los Angeles Police Department is still investigating the crime, but no updates have been provided. Officer Kevin Terzes reported that the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle after the attack.
