President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi Monday said that, “he had ‘defeated’ several martial laws in the past and if another one becomes country’s fate he would be the first to take a bullet”.

Talking to newsmen, Javed Hashmi said that the nation was sinking in storm while the rulers have selfishly boarded a boat to save their own lives, adding it would be better if this boat takes them all down.

“Independence Day is approaching and it is our resolve to fly high the flags of both Pakistan and democracy,” he said.

He condemned Lahore’s Model Town tragedy in which 14 civilians were killed.
