Karachi: Fire broke out at its precision engineering complex at the international airport in Karachi and is likely to damage spare parts, Geo News reported Saturday.
Pakistan International Airlines spokesman Daniyal Gilani has confirmed the incident and said firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze, which erupted early Saturday.
“No one was injured and the incident has not affected flight operations,” he said
The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
PIA’s engineering complex termed as a sensitive area with high security, where the aircraft equipment are manufactured and repaired.
