A fire erupted in the multi-story Kashif Center building on Karachi’s bustling Sharea Faisal, damaging several offices.
According to initial reports, the fire likely started due to a short circuit in the building’s wiring.
The blaze originated in a wiring duct and quickly spread from the second floor to higher levels, trapping multiple people inside. Unfortunately, the building lacked emergency exits, complicating rescue efforts. Eight fire tenders and a snorkel actively work to extinguish the fire and facilitate rescues.
Earlier this month, another fire occurred on the fourth floor of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) building in Karachi.
