Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to leave for the federal capital today (Thursday).
According to Prime Minister house spokesperson said “The prime minister will chair a meeting of National Security Council and matters of national security will be discussed,”
Spokesperson confirmed that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), Naval and Air force chiefs, Prime Minister’s adviser on national security, PM’s special assistant on national security, foreign secretary and other senior officials of defence and foreign ministries will also participate in Friday’s meeting.
Earlier this week, a statement issued by the PM House had stated that the premier was having a fever following an infection in one of his legs, for which he even underwent a treatment in Lahore.
Since his arrival on July 9 from London, the prime minister was running official affairs of the country through a camp office in Lahore.
The premier had left for London in May for a routine medical examination when his doctors recommended him an immediate open-heart surgery.
