The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued a summons to PTI-supported Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Shandana Gulzar for making accusations against Maryam Nawaz. Gulzar is required to appear before the FIA in Lahore on March 14.
The complaint, lodged by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), pertains to allegations made by Gulzar, a Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) member, against Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab.
Punjab’s Information Minister, Uzma Bukhari, has demanded that Gulzar substantiate her claims with evidence. Bukhari stated, “We will not allow her to escape accountability.”
In a related development, Sher Afzal Marwat, another MNA from PTI, during a press conference outside the National Assembly, revealed, “We possess a telephone recording.” Addressing inquiries from the press, Marwat added, “Maryam Nawaz’s involvement has come to light. We intend to present this recording to the investigators.”
