Amid escalating violence during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, the federal government has deployed the army in the capital.
The Interior Ministry issued a notification under Article 245, empowering the military to decisively maintain order and handle miscreants. This includes the authority to implement curfews as needed to suppress lawlessness.
Sources report that security forces are now authorized to use lethal force against troublemakers on sight. Efforts are underway to identify all miscreants for prosecution, aiming to counter terrorist activities from disruptive and extremist groups.
