Philadelphia Eagles fans are gearing up for Friday’s Super Bowl parade, but some may have pushed the revelry too far. Amid the festive atmosphere, a few supporters took their celebration to an extreme by roasting a pig dressed to resemble Patrick Mahomes, complete with an afro and the No.15 etched onto its skin. Images of the event have surfaced on social media, showing fans smiling around the caricatured pig.
This incident unfolded following the Eagles’ triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs, thwarting their bid to become the first NFL team to clinch three consecutive Super Bowl titles with a decisive 40-22 victory in New Orleans.

Just two years after a loss to the Chiefs, Philadelphia’s robust performance this season left no room for doubt as Mahomes struggled throughout the game. The defensive prowess of Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Jalen Carter, and Jordan Davis consistently overwhelmed the Chiefs’ offensive line. At the same time, Jalen Hurts scored three touchdowns and earned the Super Bowl MVP title.
Many Eagles supporters visibly showed their excitement, preparing for the parade by cooking the pig early in the morning. Online reactions, however, were mixed. Some criticized the behaviour as “strange and unnecessary,” while others outright condemned it as disrespectful.

Comments on social media included disapproval of the act, with one user saying, “This isn’t even funny, man. Mahomes is a real person,” and another adding, “Yo, that’s just messed up. I get the Eagles hype, but disrespecting the champ like that? Not a good look. Let’s keep the trash talk on the field, fam. This ain’t it.”

These events have cast a shadow over the celebrations, highlighting a need for sportsmanship on and off the field.
