The 2025 Formula 1 season promises 24 thrilling races to celebrate 75 years since its 1950 debut. Lewis Hamilton’s blockbuster move to Ferrari steals headlines, while Max Verstappen aims for a fifth straight title.

Red Bull’s champ faces stiff competition from McLaren’s Lando Norris, who trailed by just 63 points last year. Kicking off in Australia on Sunday, this anniversary season blends legacy with fresh drama.

Verstappen vs. Norris, Hamilton’s Ferrari Dream

Verstappen dominated early 2024 but hit a 10-race dry spell as McLaren, Mercedes, and Ferrari surged. He clinched his fourth title in Brazil, though McLaren snatched the constructors’ crown. Now, Norris leads betting odds, challenging Verstappen’s reign. Meanwhile, Hamilton, 40, sees Ferrari as his shot at an eighth title. “The passion here is unreal—they’ve got every ingredient to win,” he said.

Six rookies join the fray, including Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli, 18, and Ferrari protégé Ollie Bearman at Haas. Liam Lawson teams with Verstappen at Red Bull, while Gabriel Bortoleto, Jack Doohan, and Isack Hadjar debut elsewhere.

Off-track, the FIA’s swearing crackdown irks drivers, with Verstappen and Leclerc clashing over rules. From Australia to Abu Dhabi, 2025’s calendar—featuring six sprints and a tweaked Monaco—promises edge-of-seat action.
