Pakistan’s export of services witnessed a growth of 72.53 per cent in the first quarter of the current fiscal year from a year ago.
According to data compiled by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, export proceeds of services edged up to $1.711 billion between July and September this year from $992.07 million in the corresponding months of last year,
Export of services rebounded after witnessing consecutive decline in the past one year. Last year, export of services fell to $5.256bn between July-June, 2014 as against $6.732bn over the corresponding period of the last year, a decline of over 21pc.
On a monthly basis, export of services witnessed a growth of 94pc in September 2014 from the same month of last year. It showed an increasing trend towards revival of exports.
