Gujranwala: As many as seven condemned prisoners have been hanged till their death in different cities of Punjab early Wednesday morning.

Three death row convicts met their fate at Faisalabad’s Central Jail. Convicted killers—Muhammed Salim and Arshad—killed a man over a longstanding enmity in 1998.

The other convict, Nabeel, took life of a man over a feud in 2000.

Two death row prisoners were hanged in Sahiwal’s Central Jail early this morning. Convicted prisoner, Fayyaz gunned down a man in 2003. Meantime, the other killer, Qiaser, killed a man during a robbery by opening fire at him in 2004.

Meantime, a convicted killer, Muhammed Aslam, was executed in Mianwali’s Central Jail around today’s dawn. The convict assassinated two people on February 24, 1997.

In Gujrat also, a death house inmate, Iqbal alias Bala, has been sent to gallows in District Jail this morning. Aslam killed a man in 1995.

Meantime, a criminal, Ghulam Rasool, who took life of Ilyas in 2000, has been spared his life after a reconciliation deal was reached between the litigants.
