Hosts England whitewashed the Pakistan women’s team in the T20I series, concluding with a win in the third and final match on Sunday at Leeds.
England won by 34 runs, leaving the green shirts winless in the three-match series.
Nida Dar’s squad began the 177-run chase steadily. Gul Feroza and Sidra Amin scored 30 off 29 and 26 off 29, respectively. Pakistan seemed in control despite the slow start until Sophie Ecclestone dismissed Amin, and Charlie Dean took Feroza in the next over.
As the batting lineup collapsed, Dar and Aliya Riaz attempted to salvage the innings. Dar scored 29 off 24 with three fours and one six, while Riaz added 35 off 27 with four fours.
Dean, Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, and Danielle Gibson each took one wicket.
Batting first, England posted 176 for the loss of 10 wickets. The standout performance was by Danni Wyatt, who scored 87 runs off 48 balls, including 14 fours and a six.
Pakistani skipper Nida Dar and pacer Diana Baig took three wickets each. There was a new pace sensation, and Fatima Sana took one wicket.
The Girls in Green started the tour on May 11 with a defeat, falling 53 runs short. They lost the second T20I on May 17 by 65 runs.
This series defeat follows a poor run for Pakistan, losing both the T20I and ODI series to West Indies at home by 4-1 and 3-0, respectively.
Despite the loss, Nida Dar became the leading wicket-taker in T20I cricket after dismissing Alice Capsey and Amy Jones in the second T20I. She now has 140 wickets in the format.
Both sides will compete in the ODI series starting on May 23.
