Eminem has been announced as a guest judge for the second season of Netflix’s rap competition show Rhythm + Flow, which will return on November 20.
Eminem will join his longtime collaborator Royce Da, 5’9″, in Atlanta to critique contestants. He will be part of a panel that includes main judges Ludacris, DJ Khaled, and Latto, who will evaluate aspiring artists throughout the series.
In the show’s trailer, Latto highlighted her criteria, stating, “I’m looking for the full package. I’m looking for somebody that can survive in this new generation.” DJ Khaled expressed his desire to “discover something special,” while Ludacris conveyed his eagerness to identify a potential superstar.
The season will also feature other industry heavyweights such as Busta Rhymes, Big Sean, Remy Ma, GloRilla, and Mr. Porter as guest judges. The winner of the competition will receive a $250,000 cash prize. Season 2 episodes will premiere weekly, with releases scheduled for November 20, November 27, and December 4.
In addition to his new role on the show, Eminem has had a notable year with the release of his album, The Death of Slim Shady, in July. This album reached the top of the Billboard 200, marking his tenth consecutive number-one album. The rapper also recently discovered that his daughter, Hailie Jade, is expecting her first child.
