Elton John has disclosed a severe eye infection that affected his vision in one eye. The 77-year-old singer shared details of his health struggle via Instagram on Tuesday.
Elton John revealed he endured the infection throughout the summer. “I have been dealing with a serious eye infection that has unfortunately left me with limited vision in one eye,” he stated on Instagram, as reported by Page Six.
Recovery has been slow for the singer. “I am recovering, but it is an extremely slow process, and it will be sometime before sight returns to the impacted eye,” Sir Elton John added.
He appreciated his medical team and described them as “excellent.” He also expressed gratitude to his family, including his husband David Furnish and sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11, who have supported him diligently in recent weeks.
