Elon Musk has pledged to donate $1 million daily until the November election to individuals who sign his online petition supporting the U.S. Constitution.
Musk demonstrated his commitment by presenting a $1 million check to John Dreher, an attendee at his Pennsylvania event to garner support for Republican Donald Trump. Musk announced this at the event, catching Dreher completely by surprise.
Musk uses wealth to impact the closely contested presidential race between Trump and Democratic rival Kamala Harris. He established the America PAC to support Trump’s campaign, focusing on mobilizing and registering voters in key battleground states.
During a series of events in Pennsylvania, Musk emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming election and urged his supporters to vote early and encourage others to do the same. He made a stark prediction about the consequences of a Harris victory. He commented on the security threats Trump has faced, contrasting them with Harris’s situation by dismissing the value of targeting what he called a “puppet.”
Musk’s petition underscores his commitment to the First and Second Amendments—freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. Attendees of his event were required to sign this petition, which also helps America PAC collect contact details for potential voters.
Forbes ranks Musk as the world’s richest person. Musk has contributed at least $75 million to America PAC, making it a significant element of Trump’s campaign. Known for founding Tesla and SpaceX, Musk has increasingly aligned with Republican causes and openly supported Trump, who has promised Musk a government position if re-elected.
