Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, recently criticized the U.S. immigration system as “ridiculously slow and difficult.”

Musk echoed these sentiments following comments from Riley Gaines, a conservative activist and former NCAA swimmer, who highlighted the challenges of obtaining a green card and complying with vaccination requirements.

Legal immigration to America is ridiculously slow & difficult, even for super talented people. Needs to be fixed.

Gaines, an advocate on various conservative issues, shared her frustrations with the immigration process, capturing Musk’s attention. In support of Gaines, Musk emphasized the necessity of streamlining the system to accommodate better-skilled and talented individuals seeking opportunities in the U.S.

On November 20, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his concerns, stating, “Legal immigration to America is ridiculously slow and difficult, even for super talented people. Need to be fixed.” His comments have ignited broad discussions on simplifying immigration procedures for highly skilled professionals and underscored calls for policy reforms to attract global talent effectively.
