Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia De Rossi, recently relocated from the U.S. to England’s scenic Cotswolds, seeking a fresh start after Donald Trump’s election. However, their new beginning quickly turned tumultuous due to severe flooding, mirroring previous experiences at their Montecito, California home.

The Cotswolds area recently endured a severe weather system, resulting in 80 MPH winds and extensive flooding as the River Thames overflowed. Ellen and Portia’s 43-acre estate suffered significant impacts, with surrounding roads submerged under five feet of water, complicating damage assessments.

Ellen is no stranger to such disasters; her Montecito residence faced similar flooding last year, prompting evacuations of local celebrities, including herself and Oprah Winfrey. She shared footage online of the severe flooding near her property, illustrating the dramatic situation.

Having just settled in the Cotswolds, the couple hoped for tranquillity but confronted another severe natural event instead. The current state of their property remains uncertain, causing concern among fans and residents.

This flooding incident in the Cotswolds underscores the unpredictability of weather and its potential impact on communities, highlighting that even picturesque locations are not immune to natural disasters. As details about the extent of the damage remain unclear, Ellen and Portia’s resilience continues to be tested by nature’s challenges.
