Eid-ul-Azha will be on Saturday, September 2, 2017 as the Zilhajj moon was not sighted in Pakistan on Tuesday evening.
The Central Ruhat-e-Hilal Committee meeting chaired by Chairman Mufti Munibur Rahman in Karachi on Tuesday evening to sight the Zilhajj moon.
The Met Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ulema belonging to different school of thoughts attended the meeting.
Mufti Munibur Rahman said that no testimonies regarding the sighting of Zilhajj moon were received from any part of the country. Hence, 1st Zilhajj will be on Thursday August 24 while Eid-ul-Azha will be observed in the country on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
