Per the decisions of the Lahore High Court, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) withdrew the de-notification of 32 PTI MNAs on Friday, halting the by-elections for 27 general seats of the National Assembly in Punjab.

The commission, however, ruled vacant the six seats won by PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan. In these constituencies, the electoral watchdog reinstated the 27 PTI MNAs who offered their resignations in April of last year.

In addition, it reinstated five reserved-seat female MNAs from the province: Aliya Hamza Malik, Kanwal Shauzab, Andleeb Abbas, Asma Hadeed, and Maleeka Ali Bokhari.
