A earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter Scale was jolted upper parts of the country.
The tremors were felt in Gilgit, Peshawar, Swat, Dir, Malakand, Charsadda, Nowshera and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Epicenter of the quake was 30 kilometer deep at Tajikistan-China border.
No loss of life and property has been reported so far, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said.
