The official postmortem report for Dr. Warda, the Abbottabad doctor found murdered last week, has been released. The report concludes she died from a fractured neck bone and suffocation, confirming the violent nature of her death.
Dr. Warda was reportedly abducted by her friend Rida from Benazir Shaheed District Hospital on December 4, 2025. Police allege her accomplices, Nadeem, Parvez, and Shamraiz, later killed her in a planned murder.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Amir Israr stated a seven-member medical team conducted the post-mortem. The body was handed over to her family after the procedure. The report has now been sent for further forensic testing to ensure a comprehensive investigation.
District Police Officer (DPO) Haroon Rasheed publicly termed the death a “planned murder.” He confirmed four individuals were involved, with three already apprehended. The charges include kidnapping and murder.

Preliminary investigations reveal a financial motive. Two years ago, Dr. Warda had given gold to her friend Rida for safekeeping, which was never returned. On the day of the incident, Rida allegedly took Dr. Warda to her under-construction house.
Suspects Shamraiz, Nadeem, and Aurangzeb were waiting there. Investigators state Nadeem orchestrated the entire murder plot. Dr. Warda, a mother of two, lived with her father and children. Her husband, Raheel Ali Raza, works in South Korea and is expected to return on December 11.
The case has taken a contentious turn. Dr. Warda’s father has accused the police of accepting bribes in connection with the investigation. He has demanded the arrest of the SHO (Station House Officer) and the DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) involved.
The police have assured the public that investigations are ongoing. They pledged legal action against all responsible individuals, including any officials found complicit. This development adds a layer of alleged institutional misconduct to the already tragic criminal case.
