Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahirul Qadri on Friday announced suspended all the negotiations with the government overnight crackdown.
Addressing the participants at the PAT sit-in in Islamabad, he claimed that police, during the recent crackdown, arrested PAT workers and also taken valuables from their houses.
He said that the police looted jewellery, accessaries, home appliances and valuables they found during the crackdown.
He also warned the rulers that if these innocent people stood up, there will be no room left for them to escape their wrath.
The PAT chief said, “I am preventing a bloody revolution, but if these people went out of control and refused to listen to my appeals, then these tyrant rulers will be no more”.
He said that all the personnel of the Punjab Police have been deployed in Islamabad and the number of crimes is increasing in the flood-hit areas.
Dr. Qadri said Asad Abbas Naqvi, who is a member of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM), has not been released so far. He said the police had arrested Naqvi, who was part of the PAT negotiations team.
He urged the residents of the flood-affected areas to chant slogans of ‘Go Nawaz Go’, whenever PM Nawaz visits their villages and cities, in order to make him realize that they have rejected him.
Moreover, Tahirul Qadri said the Sharif brothers are responsible for the floods and all the damages, as they did not pay any attention to save the lives of poor.
