Dozens have been killed and several others injured as heavily armed gunmen targeted a pilgrims’ bus parked outside a hotel in the Taftan area near the Pak Iran border. They fired indiscriminately and also lobbed grenades at the pilgrims.
According to sources, pilgrims’ bus was travelling from Iran to Quetta and unidentified men attacked the bus when it was parked outside a hotel in Taftan.
Reportedly, armed men kept firing for 10-15 minutes.
According to the Assistant Commissioner, rescue teams have been dispatched to the area post haste. The wanton attack has created a sense of fear across the area.
